Getting Started with Planning Center

Follow these steps to connect your Planning Center account and start syncing your church data with Church Funnels.

Manual Contact Import

To get your existing Planning Center contacts into Church Funnels, start with a manual export.

  • Log into Planning Center and navigate to the People section.
  • Export your contacts as a CSV file.
  • In Church Funnels, go to Contacts and use the Import option to upload the CSV.
  • We recommend tagging imported contacts with "PCO" to keep them organized.

Connect Your Planning Center Account

Once your contacts are imported, connect your accounts for ongoing automatic sync.

  • In Church Funnels, navigate to the Planning Center Integration tab.
  • Click the Connect button and authenticate with your Planning Center credentials.
  • Once linked, new contacts will sync automatically between both platforms going forward.

Report Headcounts

After connecting, you can submit attendance and headcount data directly from Church Funnels — no need to log into Planning Center separately.

  • Navigate to the Headcounts section inside the Planning Center tab.
  • Select your service type and enter your attendance numbers.
  • Click Submit — your data will post directly to Planning Center in real time.

Automate Workflows

Automatically add new Church Funnels contacts into specific Planning Center workflows so your follow-up process runs on autopilot.

  • In the integration settings, find the Workflow Automation dropdown.
  • Select the Planning Center workflow you want new contacts added to.
  • Save — from now on, every new contact in Church Funnels will be automatically enrolled in that workflow.
